KUALA LUMPUR: The Government does not decide the rate charged by Astro for its direct-to-home satellite pay television services.

Deputy Information, Communications and Culture Minister Datuk Joseph Salang Gandum said the paid services provided by Astro was not basic communications service but rather a choice made by subscribers to have more channels.

“Currently, the minimum amount charged by Astro for a basic package comprising 26 channels is still competitive at RM37.95.

*kulop ludin : memang le choice made by subscibers tapi sepatutnya gomen kena la prihatin dengan charge melampau ASTRO….

pilihan takde sebabnya gomen pun tak sediakan siaran macam ASTRO… larat ke nak tengok tv1 dan 2 jea..

soalnya sekarang…. ASTRO dah charge bulanan yang sesukahati je tinggi…lepas tu dah mula tempek iklan2 hampeh kat kita…. bermakna kita bayar sewa ASTRO bersekali ngan sewa iklan….

kita pun berhati perut bukan nak kurangkan bil ASTRO sampai  dua kupang… tetapi memadailah turunkan lagi harga langganan ASTRO…. kerana ASTRO monopoli penyiaran rancangan tv….

tolak tepi la masalah apabila hujan, ASTRO dan hujan memang takleh ngam….. tapi bil langganan mintak turunlea…. kalau benda camnie gomen takleh nak tolong rakyat…… sapa nak tolong lagi?
